Mom 84158. Got a good start until Andy misplaced his watch. We drove from Reno through the DEAD Nevada countryside. LONG ride-500 some miles. We hit bad weather-snow, etc… We drove up a hill and at the top there was the Great Salt Flats and lake. The Salt Flats were unbelievably desolate. NOTHING growing at all. Looks like snow, but it’s salt. We got to Salt Lake City late. We fasted-everyone starved. We had pancakes for supper-big mistake. We’re all STILL hungry. It is snowing-looks like Christmas. We will stay at the Holiday Inn tonight.
